Earlier this month, Reggie Becton released his new single “Life,” and now he has unveiled the song’s official music video, directed by Chris Felix. The video features Becton and a female dancer showcasing choreographed moves on a winding deck.
Becton tells Rated R&B that the “Life” video is his first foray into the world of dance, noting that he had a similar concept for his “Love Motion No. 9” video that didn’t quite meet his expectations. However, he is pleased with how the “Life” video turned out and how it captures the “effortless intentional” dance performance feel of legendary artists like Aaliyah and Usher.
Becton’s “Life” is the first release of the year from his forthcoming project, SadBoy, which is expected to drop later this year. SadBoy follows Becton’s debut album, California, released in 2021. The album could include “Life” as well as Becton’s 2022 singles “Streets” and “Call.”
